Patel's research interests include antenna design, RF and microwave circuits, sensors and sensor applications, applied physics, non-destructive material characterization, metamaterials, frequency selective surfaces, microwave absorbers from composites, applied AI/ML, real-time video analytics, image processing, and multi-disciplinary experimental research. He has authored over 20 research publications in IEEE, Springer, and Wiley outlets and holds a granted patent.
