A lil peculiar but he is a great Histology teacher for system-based course and agreat anatomy lab instructor if you had studied beforehand and want to merge the information together. He also speaks his mind which is somewhat a downfall of his in terms of having students sticking by him.
Dr. Roy Thomas serves as a lecturer in the anatomy department within the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of the West Indies, Mona campus, Kingston, Jamaica. His professional expertise encompasses gross anatomy and dissection. He rejoined the department around 2007 after an earlier tenure in the 1970s, during which he taught before pursuing theology. In 2013, Dr. Thomas advocated for increased public donations of bodies to the university for scientific research and medical training, highlighting the irreplaceable value of human cadavers in producing skilled doctors compared to dummies or textbooks. He detailed the straightforward donation process, which requires permission from relatives via a witnessed document signed by a Justice of the Peace or inclusion in a will. Bodies received by the department, whether from home via undertakers or hospitals, can be stored in the facility for up to 20 years.
