Price's research specializations include colonialism and settler colonialism, Nietzschean and Heideggerian philosophy, colonial occupation in Southeast Asia, Australian massacres and invasion, the Tasmanian Black War, resistance in colonial and communist China, organic food safety regulation in the Asia Pacific, employment law, contract law, torts, and equity. He is recognised as a world-leading scholar of Nietzsche and Heidegger philosophy studies applied in history. Key publications encompass the book 'Principles of Employment Law' (4th Edition, 2012, co-authored with Jennifer Nielsen), 'Going Native: The Passions of Philip Jacks' (2016), and 'Being in the Colonies: Singapore, Western Australia and Hong Kong' (forthcoming 2026). Notable articles include 'Chinese immigration law and policy: a case of "change your direction, or end up where you are heading"?' (2013, co-authored with Guobin Zhu), 'Making Japan pay for its East Asian occupations (1941-1945): a new modality for international law?' (2013), and contributions to 'Regulatory Issues in Organic Food Safety in the Asia Pacific' (2020). He teaches Jurisprudence at Southern Cross University.
