She obtained her PhD in Chemistry from Jiwaji University in 2017, focusing on the synthesis of metal sulphide chalcogenides nanoparticles from single molecule precursors. Her earlier qualifications include an M.Sc. in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic Chemistry from Jiwaji University in 2002, an M.Phil. in Chemistry from Global Open University in 2009, and a B.Ed. from Jiwaji University in 2005. Prior to her current position, Dr. Goswami held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at ITM University, Gwalior from 2022 to 2025, Assistant Professor there from 2008 to 2021, Course Coordinator from 2021 to 2025, and Lecturer at Gwalior Institute of Technology and Sciences from 2007 to 2008. She has over 17 years of teaching and research experience across engineering, pharmacy, and chemistry disciplines.

Dr. Goswami's research encompasses the synthesis of nanoparticles including metal sulphides, tin chalcogenides, Al₂O₃, ZnO, ZnS, Fe₂S₃, and SnO nanoparticles, polymer nanocomposites, CO₂ adsorbents, green chemistry, and spectroscopy. She has published over 33 papers in SCI- and Scopus-indexed journals, with notable works such as tin sulfide nanoparticles in Next Research (2025), SnO₂/cellulose nanocomposites in Scientific Reports (2025), antifungal properties of nanoparticles in Oriental Journal of Chemistry (2024), green chemistry applications in Indian Journal of Environment Protection (2024), and aluminium oxide nano adsorbents in Revue Roumaine de Chimie (2024). She has completed funded projects including the MPCST-sponsored Development of Environmentally Friendly Tin Chalcogenide Nanostructure Photocatalysts (₹5 lakhs) and the ITM University project on Synthesis and Characterization of Al₂O₃ Nanoparticles as CO₂ Adsorbents (₹2.89 lakhs), each yielding SCI-indexed publications. Dr. Goswami has guided PhD theses, such as one on Landfill Leachates and Its Impact on Groundwater Quality in Delhi-NCR Region (2025), and served as Organizing Secretary for the RACE conference series (2021-2025) and TIMS-2023. Her accolades include the Best Teacher Award (2021) and Best Project Award (2022) from ITM University, Gwalior, and recognition as Active SPOC for IIT Kanpur (2022-2025).
