Dr. Rajnish Kumar Mishra serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Linguistics and Literary Studies at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth since March 2022. He possesses a PhD in Hindi Journalism from Pondicherry University awarded in 2017, an MPhil from the same university in 2012, and an MA in Hindi in 2011. Additionally, he holds postgraduate diplomas in Functional Hindi and Translation as well as in Journalism and Mass Communication from Pondicherry University and IGNOU respectively, and a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication from MCRPV in 2009. He qualified UGC-NET in 2013. His prior professional appointments include Assistant Professor at PSG College of Arts and Science from December 2020 to March 2022, Assistant Professor (Ad-hoc) at Central University of Tamil Nadu from 2017 to 2020, Adjunct Faculty and Coordinator of the PGDFHT Program at Pondicherry University from September 2016 to June 2017, and Sub-Editor at Qaumi Patrika, a daily Hindi newspaper in New Delhi, in 2009. With over nine years of academic experience, he has taught undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs across various central universities and colleges.
Dr. Mishra's academic interests encompass Hindi journalism, media literacy, Hindi language and literature, research methodology, and interdisciplinary studies in Hindi media and literary subjects. His research areas include Hindi media, journalism, and Hindi literature. He has authored two books: Samacharpatron Ki Vichariki Aur Bhoomandalikaran published by Rajmangal Prakashan in 2024 (ISBN-13: 978-8119251438) and Hindi Dalit Sahitya Main Adam Gondavi Ka Yogdan by Sahitya Ratnakar in 2019. Key publications in UGC-CARE listed journals feature 'Hindi Samacharpatra Main Dharm ki rooprekha' in Bahuri nahi awan (2023), 'Samacharpatron Main Strivishayak Mudde' in Apnee Mati (2022), 'Hindisamacharpatron Main Bhashayi Parivartan' in Review of Research (2019), and several others on topics such as women in Hindi newspapers during globalization and ideological aspects of media.
