Pardis Mohajerani is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director of the Master of Marketing in the Department of Marketing at Macquarie Business School, Macquarie University. She holds a PhD in Business (Marketing) and a Master of Science in Marketing-International Business. Her research specializations encompass sustainable marketing strategies within consumer, business, and government contexts, with a focus on healthy lifestyles and the role of digital technologies in sustainable and organic food consumption. Mohajerani collaborates with industry partners such as the NSW Department of Education, Transport NSW, the NSW Department of Health, and Austrade on applied projects.
Mohajerani's career history at Macquarie University features research outputs dating back to 2007 and key appointments including Primary Chief Investigator for the project 'Influence of media, social, and individual factors on healthy eating and physical activity of Australian young adults (Gen Y)' (2014–2018) and Coordinating Investigator for 'LEAP into HSC Business Studies' (2021). She advanced to Senior Lecturer in 2023. Major publications include 'Organic food purchasing: dissecting with data science' (2023, with F. R. Taghikah and I. Bakhshayeshi), 'Physical activity: social, media and individual influences' (2023, with N. Nguyen), 'Media and social influences on healthy eating' (2022, with N. Nguyen), 'Influence of media and socialisation agents on healthy eating among Australian Gen Y' (2017, with A. Lobo and H. McDonald), and 'Millennials and obesity-The influence of socialisation agents on self-efficacy towards healthy eating' (2016, with A. Lobo). Awards received include the Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Award (SUPRA) in 2014, Tuition Fee Exemption Scholarship in 2005, Best Paper Award at Research Week in 2008, and People’s Choice Award in 2015. She has served as a reviewer for Journal of Consumer Behaviour (2020–2022) and Tourism and Hospitality Research (2020).
