Prof. P. T. V. Bhuvaneswari serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics Engineering at the Madras Institute of Technology campus of Anna University, Chennai, where she has been a faculty member since 2004. She holds a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, an M.E. in Applied Electronics, and a Ph.D. awarded in 2011 from the same institution. Her academic interests encompass wireless sensor networks, wireless communication, 5G technologies, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Bhuvaneswari has authored over 105 publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers. Key works include "Solar Energy Harvesting for Wireless Sensor Networks" (2009), "LoRa Based Smart Street Light Management Framework" (2021), "User Association-Based Load Balancing Using Reinforcement Learning in 5G Heterogeneous Networks," and "Smart IoT Applications of Multi Attack Detection Using Cluster F1MI Approach" (2026). Her research has accumulated 541 citations with an h-index of 12.

In addition to her teaching and research, she has supervised four Ph.D. theses on topics such as real-time water quality parameter monitoring using least square regression models (2023), game theory-based resource scheduling for QoS enhancement in LTE (2022), and region splitting-based resource partitioning for interference mitigation in heterogeneous networks (2020). Bhuvaneswari has spearheaded 13 research projects and earned prestigious recognitions, including the Best Teacher Award from Lions Club Chennai (2023), Best Paper Awards at iTech SECOMs-PSG Institute (2023), NIT Meghalaya (2017), VIT University (2017), and others, as well as the Best Innovative Research Award from the International Organization of Scientific Research and Development (2019). She contributes to academic governance through memberships in Anna University's Academic Council Committee (2023), PhD selection committees, and result passing boards, and holds memberships in IEEE, ISTE, IAENG, and IEEE COMSOC.
