Ödül Bozkurt is Professor of Work and Employment in the Department of Management at the University of Sussex Business School. She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles. Throughout her career, she has taught and served as a visiting researcher at universities in Japan, Poland, Turkey, Sweden, Italy, France, and the United States. Previously holding the position of Senior Lecturer in Work and Employment, she advanced to her current professorial role within the University of Sussex Business School. As a sociologist of work, employment, and organizations, Bozkurt explores diverse facets of the contemporary world of work. Her research specializations include sociology of work, work and employment studies, human resource management, international human resource management, globalization, and employment relations.
