Professor Nurun Nabi is the Principal, Executive Director, Founder, Interim Chair of the Board of Governance, and Professor of Management Studies at ICON College of Technology and Management, an independent higher education college in London offering British qualifications in business, computing, tourism, hospitality management, health and social care, information technology, and education. He possesses an extensive academic background, including a BCom (Hons) First Class, MCom First Class from the University of Chittagong, MBA from Henley Management College at the University of Oxford, PhD from London Guildhall University, and Certificate in Senior Business Management from Harvard. Professor Nabi holds professional qualifications as a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (FInstLM) and MPDSE. With over 43 years of experience in academia, research, and senior management positions, he has led ICON College since 2003 as an alternative education provider, serving as the Accountable Officer to the Office for Students (OfS).
Professor Nabi's research specializations and academic interests encompass strategic management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. He chaired the College’s Board of Governance from 2008 to 2016 and has chaired the Academic Board since 2004. He has successfully managed six Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) institutional reviews and attended more than 15 QAA conferences and workshops. Additionally, he has participated in over 30 international and national conferences and workshops, including the 5th to 10th Global Drucker Forums in Vienna as a Harvard Business Review delegate, Times Higher Education (THE) Conferences, British Council’s Going Global events, and HEFCE and OfS workshops. As a member of the Peter Drucker Society Europe, Professor Nabi has contributed significantly to the strategic leadership and quality enhancement of higher education at ICON College.
