Dr Nour Ghamri is a Business Development Manager in the Research and Enterprise Office at the University of Otago. Her portfolio covers biotechnology and public health. In this capacity, she supports the building of partnerships between university researchers and industry, government, NGOs, and other end-users to advance research development, secure funding opportunities, complete grant applications, and establish research contracts. The Research and Enterprise Office is part of the Research Division, led by the Director, Research and Enterprise, and operates from the Centre for Innovation Building on the Dunedin Campus, with colleagues in Auckland.
Dr Ghamri earned her PhD at the University of Auckland, completing her doctoral research under the supervision of Associate Professor Frederik Pruijn. Prior to her PhD, she held a BSc(Hons) in Genetics from the University of Auckland, undertaken in 2015-2016 as part of the GANLEY Laboratory. She was recognised as a PhD candidate affiliated with the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre in reports from the Maurice Wilkins Centre.
