Ngaroma Bennett serves as Kaiāwhina Māori, or Māori Student Support Officer, in the Division of Humanities at the University of Otago. In this role, she supports Māori students across Te Kete Aronui, the Humanities division, by liaising with academic departments and student services. She works alongside Marie Tutbury and collaborates with the Humanities Associate Dean (Māori) to advance Māori development within the division. Her contributions help foster an environment conducive to Māori student success and engagement in humanities studies.
Ngaroma Bennett is organisationally affiliated with Te Tumu, School of Māori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies, in the Humanities Division. She has participated in university committees, including the Otago University Students' Association Education Committee, to which she was appointed in 2023, and represented Te Rōpū Māori in Senate proceedings.
