Dr. E.M. Naresh Babu serves as Professor in the Finance & Operations department at ABBS School of Management, specializing in Operations and Analytics within the broader field of Business & Economics. He earned his Ph.D. from Sri Venkateswara University, along with an MBA specializing in Finance & Operations from the same institution. Additionally, he holds a Masters degree in Mathematics, M.Sc., and B.Sc. from Sri Venkateswara University, where he was a university topper at both graduate and postgraduate levels. He cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission and received merit certificates from school level to postgraduate level for topping classes and courses. His career began at Bank of America Continuum Solutions in Hyderabad as a senior team member, where he worked for two years gaining exposure to corporate banking and financial operations. Subsequently, he taught at reputed B-schools and MBA colleges in Andhra Pradesh before joining ABBS School of Management as Professor.
Dr. Naresh Babu's research specializations encompass Business Analytics and Econometrics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, Finance and Financial Markets, with expertise in Operations Management, Predictive Modelling, Business Analytics, and Operations Research. His doctoral research examined volatility in the Indian stock market during the post-liberalization period, and he maintains an active research profile with sustained scholarly output in management and interdisciplinary areas. He has authored over 35 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, including UGC CARE-approved and Web of Science indexed ones. He has presented more than 30 research papers at national and international conferences, contributed to 20 journals, authored the textbook Foundations of Statistics published by Rita Publications, Kolkata, contributed book chapters to edited volumes, and edited an ISBN-indexed book. Notable awards include the LMA Best Business Case Study Award (2020), Best Employee award from Bank of America (2007), and extensive NPTEL recognitions such as Domain Scholar in Operations (April 2019–December 2025), multiple Gold and Silver medals in courses like Operations Research, HR Analytics, Econometric Modelling, Business Statistics, and certifications from Yale University (Financial Markets with Honors), Virginia Tech, and 15 from various IITs.
