A true inspiration to all learners.
Dr. Nan Oo is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Engineering Workshop Technology at Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University (MAEU) in Meiktila, Myanmar. Within the field of Engineering, her expertise centers on Workshop Technology. She possesses a robust academic background, beginning with an A.G.T.I. in Mechanical Power from Mandalay Government Technical Institute. She earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Mandalay Technological University (M.T.U.). Dr. Nan Oo furthered her studies internationally, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering, specializing in Liquid Rocket Engine, from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (B.M.S.T.U.) in Russia. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering at Mandalay Technological University. This progression of qualifications has positioned her as a leader in mechanical engineering education tailored to aerospace contexts.
Dr. Nan Oo's research specializations focus on the mechanical field in space technology. Her key publications include “Design and Performance Parameters of Combustion Chamber and Nozzle of Liquid Fuel Small Thrust Engine,” published in the proceedings of the Second International Conference on Science and Engineering, volume 3, issue 2, pages 24-28 (2010). She also authored “Numerical Analysis of Regenerative Cooling in Liquid Propellant Rocket Engines for Ground Testing” in the International Journal of Scientific Research, volume 7, issue 8 (2018). As department head, Dr. Nan Oo directs several ongoing projects: Teaching Aid Projects, Renewable Energy Project, Free Energy Project, and Rocket Engine Project. These efforts support hands-on training and innovation in workshop and production engineering at MAEU, aligning with the university's emphasis on practical skills development through laboratory work, group projects, and research in aerospace engineering disciplines.
