Monique Williams is a member of the research team for the DOT Study, full title 'Delivering optimal weight gain advice to pregnant women by Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) midwives'. This mixed-methods case study is located in Te Tai Tokerau, Northland, New Zealand. The study focuses on providing optimal advice on weight gain during pregnancy through midwives. She participated in the DOT Study team at an LMC midwife training session in Whangarei in May 2024, pictured with team members Kirsten Coppell, Kim King, and Helen Paterson. Other Assistant Research Fellows on the team include Kimberley King from the University of Otago, Dunedin, and Naomi Waldron from the University of Otago, Wellington. A postgraduate student, Madeleine Stephenson from the University of Otago, Wellington, is also associated with the study. The DOT Study is actively contacting participants who had babies in Whangarei in 2024 and 2025 for feedback, using the contact email monique.williams@otago.ac.nz.
