Rate My Professor Mohsen Shahandashti

Shahandashti's expertise centers on construction engineering and management and infrastructure systems engineering and management. His research specializations include resilient infrastructure, construction analytics, AI applications in transportation planning and infrastructure assessment, post-hazard labor dynamics, and data-driven forecasting for construction projects. He has authored over 140 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers. Key publications feature the 2023 book 'Construction Analytics: Forecasting and Investment Valuation,' co-authored with UTA students, which provides hands-on examples and code for addressing cost overruns and scheduling issues. In teaching, he has developed and taught 10 graduate and undergraduate courses, created industry-facing professional certificates, and built the curriculum for UTA's ABET-accredited Construction Management program serving nearly 600 students. Shahandashti has mentored numerous students to awards and professional success.
