Professor Mohammad Alawamleh serves as Dean of the Faculty of Business and Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the American University of Madaba. He earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Coventry University in the United Kingdom in 2009, MSc in Engineering Management from Loughborough University in 2004, and BSc in Computer Engineering. His academic career includes roles as Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies at the American University of Madaba from 2013 to 2024, Associate Professor in Business Administration there from 2013 to March 2024, and Lecturer in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Jordan from 2011 to 2013.

Alawamleh's research specializations encompass AI applications in business and education, innovation management, human capital investments, digital transformation in higher education, supply chain management, and organizational performance. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, including 'The effect of online learning on communication between instructors and students during Covid-19 pandemic' (2020), 'Entrepreneurship challenges: the case of Jordanian start-ups' (2023), 'The bilateral relationship between human capital investment and innovation in Jordan' (2019), 'Open innovation in the food industry: trends and barriers – a case of the Jordanian food industry' (2022), 'Interpretive Structural Modelling of Organizational Innovation Factors: An Emerging Market Perspective' (2023), 'An investigation of the role of Wasta social capital in enhancing employee loyalty and innovation in organizations' (2024), and 'Would the employment of advanced technology and online presence help museums in the Middle East achieve their objectives?' (2022). His work on online learning during the pandemic has received over 900 citations, contributing significantly to discussions on digital education in emerging markets. Alawamleh has been awarded research funding from the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation and serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Modelling in Management.
