Her research contributions in materials mechanics include pioneering FIB-machined micro-cantilever bending and micro-bridge four-point bending techniques for evaluating fracture and interfacial properties of protective coatings on magnesium alloys and adhesion in bilayer structures, with applications in semiconductor reliability testing funded by WIN Semiconductor Co., Taiwan. In materials processing, she has developed selective laser sintering processes for additive manufacturing of porous biodegradable polymer scaffolds for bone tissue engineering, securing UQ philanthropic ECR grant, SEED funding, and SEEM grant for biocompatibility studies.
