Mateus de Pádua Vicente is a doctoral candidate in Computer Science at the Institute of Computing of Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the same institution and completed his secondary and technical education in Informatics at Colégio Técnico de Campinas (Cotuca).

His research focuses on the development of methods for deepfake detection, with particular emphasis on images and videos, including formulations that are comprehensive and scalable for open-set scenarios. He is affiliated with the Recod.ai laboratory and has contributed to projects such as Projeto Horus, which addresses artificial intelligence applications for digital media trust, including robust feature learning, open-set recognition, self-supervised learning, multimodal learning, and forensic techniques.
