Dr. Manjit Monga serves as a Lecturer in the School of Management, College of Business and Law at Adelaide University. She teaches and researches in business ethics and human resource management areas. With a Master’s degree and a PhD in Social Anthropology from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, her doctoral research examined structured and unstructured employment relations in public and private sector industries. Prior to joining academia, she had a successful career in the private sector overseas and in Australia, bringing practical business experience to her teaching and research program. She is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students as a co-supervisor.
Dr. Monga’s research specializations include management ethics, research ethics, human resource diversity management, and social enterprises. She co-edited the book Integrity in Business and Management (Routledge, 2017) with Marc Orlitzky. Key publications feature “Managing diversity through human resource management: an international perspective and conceptual framework” (International Journal of Human Resource Management, 2009), “Human resource diversity management practices in the Australian manufacturing sector” (International Journal of Human Resource Management, 2014), “Transformative change through events business: a feminist ethic of care analysis of building the purpose economy” (Journal of Sustainable Tourism, 2021), “Managers’ moral reasoning: evidence from large Indian manufacturing organisations” (Journal of Business Ethics, 2007), “Measuring motivation to volunteer for special events” (Event Management, 2006), “Value orientations: a case study of north Indian manufacturing managers” (Journal of Management Development, 2005), and “Meaning of integrity from upper echelons' perspective” (Journal of Developing Areas, 2016). Her work also includes contributions to conference proceedings and book chapters on gender and social entrepreneurship, ethical ideologies, and volunteer management. With publications garnering substantial citations, Dr. Monga has contributed to advancing knowledge in business ethics, diversity practices, and sustainable management.
