About Mani

Mrs. Mani Govil serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Commerce at Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Navi Mumbai campus. Currently pursuing a PhD from Mumbai University on "A study of Asset quality of Scheduled Commercial Banks in India since 2008," she holds an MBA in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad and an MCom in Applied Economics. With over 12 years of teaching experience, she imparts knowledge in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and has contributed as a paper setter for Business Economics II in BBI and BIM programs affiliated with Mumbai University. Her academic journey is marked by notable achievements, including qualifying the NET in Economics in 2015, receiving Best Student Awards throughout her B.A. (1989-1992), and earning a Gold Medal for the highest marks in B.A. from Delhi University.

Mani Govil's research interests include economic determinants, macroeconomics, financial institutions, and investment analysis, with specializations in Business Economics, Development Economics, Macroeconomics, Business Environment, Banking, and Financial Institutions & Services. (Quest, TIMS, 2013), "Determinants of inward FDI in Developing Countries: Evidence from a time series data analysis" (Anvesha, 2013), "Financial performance of top ranking Indian banks in the post crisis period" (Aayam, 2012), "The Financial Tsunami and the Indian Banking Sector" (Journal of International Economics, 2010), and "Trends and Returns of Initial Public Offerings in India with Special reference to the period 2006-08" (Abhigyan, 2009). At NMIMS, she holds positions as Faculty In-charge of the Female Welfare Committee, Faculty Mentor for the Student Council in the School of Commerce, and Faculty Member of the Cultural Committee.
