Malina Campos, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, serves as Assistant Professor and Interim Director of Nursing Education in the Ambria College of Nursing at Judson University, having joined the faculty in 2024. Her robust academic background includes a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate from Ambria College of Nursing, earned in December 2010. She advanced her education with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Chamberlain University in 2013. In 2019, Campos completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Chamberlain University and obtained certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). These qualifications position her as an expert capable of integrating clinical proficiency with pedagogical excellence in nursing education.
Campos possesses substantial clinical experience as a registered nurse in sub-acute care units, long-term care facilities, memory care units, and pediatric departments. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has delivered care in internal medicine, weight loss management, and pediatric practices. Her transition to academia began in 2016 as an adjunct nursing instructor, evolving to full-time faculty in 2021. She teaches a wide range of nursing courses, including fundamentals, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and pediatrics, with a special interest in pediatric nursing education. In fiscal year 2023, she was recognized as an Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) Nurse Educator Fellow while at Ambria College of Nursing, receiving a $10,000 salary supplement to advance her professional development as a nurse educator and enhance her program's offerings.
