Mahesh Raj Nagaraja serves as a Lecturer in the School of Science and Engineering at Curtin University Dubai, delivering courses in Physics Foundations, Electrical Systems, and Lab Electronics. With over eight years of experience in teaching and student relations, he brings hands-on expertise in installing and setting up various engineering laboratories. He is a certified professional in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Nagaraja has contributed to student initiatives, including mentoring robotics teams representing Curtin University Dubai in competitions.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications in Industrial Drives in Electrical Engineering, for which he earned a university gold medal. His research interests include Nanotechnology, Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks, Electrical Power Generation, Smart and Eco-friendly Systems, and Maximum Power Point Tracking for Photovoltaic Systems. Key publications feature the 2025 review "Advancements and challenges in solar photovoltaic technologies: enhancing technical performance for sustainable clean energy – A review" in Solar Energy Advances (68 citations), co-authored with W.K. Biswas and C.P. Selvan.
