Lucrezia Lewandowska-Pociecha serves as Auto-Scheduling Implementation Administrator in the Timetables section of the Student Experience department within the Academic Division at the University of Otago, based at the Dunedin campus in the St David II Building, 75 St David Street. Her professional role centers on the implementation of auto-scheduling technologies to support efficient student administration and enhance the overall student experience.
She has made notable contributions to the Admissions Validation Automation (AVA) project, a robotic process automation (RPA) tool designed to validate applications from international postgraduate students, significantly reducing processing times and improving accessibility for applicants. Working closely with Student Administration Lead Louise Ross, Lucrezia Lewandowska-Pociecha expressed satisfaction with AVA's impact on streamlining admissions. Furthermore, she was a key team member in Project DOUG & AVA, led by Louise Ross and Kitty Higbee, alongside colleagues including Kylie Davies, Finn Butler, Nadeeka Perera, Moira Suttie, Lachlan Graham, Emma Whyte, Kaitlin Boddie, Ash Palin, Lizzie Ross, and Alana Santos. The team successfully deployed AVA for application validation and DOUG for domestic undergraduate offers, automating repetitive tasks and boosting efficiency for staff, departments, and applicants. For these achievements, the team received the Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff (Team) in 2025.
