Ms Louise Tier serves as a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy in the School of Allied Health and Human Performance, part of the College of Health at Adelaide University. As an occupational therapist, her work integrates research, teaching, clinical practice, and industry partnerships, centering on key areas such as low back pain, sport, musculoskeletal conditions, spinal and neurological rehabilitation. Her interests include effective pain management, function optimization, and self-management promotion for clients. Tier strongly advocates for incorporating people with lived experience into research and teaching to enhance relevance and impact. She is committed to investigating ways to optimize outcomes for clients and promote student learning.

Tier is a member of ANZMUSC and Sports Medicine Australia, contributing to musculoskeletal clinical trials and sports medicine advancements.
