Dr Linh Nguyen is a Lecturer (Education Focused) and Program Director of the Master of Applied Finance program in the Department of Finance at the University of Melbourne, where she joined in 2025. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Economics. Dr Nguyen earned her PhD in Banking and Finance from Monash University in 2014. Prior to her current appointment, she held teaching and academic leadership roles at several Australian universities, including Monash University, RMIT University, and the Australian Catholic University, where she focused on innovative teaching practices, simulation trading, curriculum development, and case study design.
Her contributions to teaching excellence have been recognised with multiple accolades, including the Dean’s Commendation for Teaching Excellence, formal congratulations from the Pro-Vice Chancellor, and numerous Purple Letters from the Dean for outstanding student evaluations. From 2018 to 2023, she served as Project Manager and Academic Lead for the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education – Joint Enterprise University Learning (JEUL) project. Earlier, from 2013 to 2014, she was a Project Officer for the Finance Learning Standards Working Party, a national initiative supported by the Australian Business Deans Council.
