Rate My Professor Liezl van Dyk

Prof Liezl van Dyk has been appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic at Stellenbosch University, effective 1 July 2026. She is a full professor and an NRF-rated researcher with more than 27 years of experience in higher education. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Stellenbosch University (2013) and an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering. Prof van Dyk previously served as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at North-West University. Her research focuses on technology-enabled optimization of service systems, particularly in health systems engineering, as well as maturity models, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and sustainability. She is a professionally registered industrial engineer.
