Lesley Moerschel is an Associate Faculty member in the History Department at Edmonds College in Lynnwood, Washington. Following the completion of her PhD, Moerschel was appointed Assistant Professor at Edmonds Community College, which later became Edmonds College. She has also served as Associate Faculty in the History Department at Cascadia Community College and as an Instructor at Washington State University during 2012-2013. Her career reflects a commitment to history education at community colleges in the Pacific Northwest region.
Moerschel earned her Master of Arts in History from Washington State University in summer 2006. She went on to complete her Doctor of Philosophy in American History at the same institution in 2012, with Jennifer Thigpen as her advisor. During her graduate studies, she participated actively in the History Graduate Student Association at WSU, attending general meetings as recorded in August 2004 and September 2008 minutes. In 2013, at the 127th Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association, she presented a poster titled 'The Torrent Bore Down All before Them': Boston's Church Communities and Public Discourse during the Revolutionary Era. References also indicate her engagement with topics such as 'D-Day for Beauty Queens': Beauty Pageants and Nation-Building in Western Cameroon, 1960–82, highlighting diverse research interests within history.
