Rate My Professor Laura Revell

Professor Laura Revell is an atmospheric scientist in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences at the University of Canterbury, where she holds the position of Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry. She specialises in chemistry-climate modelling and related areas of atmospheric science. Revell completed a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science at the University of Waikato before earning her PhD from the University of Canterbury in 2012. Following her doctorate, she undertook a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at ETH Zürich.

Revell is a Royal Society Te Apārangi Rutherford Discovery Fellow. Her research focuses on atmospheric chemistry and climate interactions, including work on airborne micro- and nanoplastics. She has been recognised with early-career research awards at the University of Canterbury and serves as the only New Zealand representative on a United Nations expert panel. Revell has also been elected to the International Ozone Commission. Her contributions include numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of atmospheric science.
