Kris Tiernan is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, where she has made substantial contributions to nursing education through teaching, mentorship, and practical training initiatives. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College, certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Iowa, and both a Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Clarke University. Tiernan's career progression at the institution reflects her dedication and growth: she began as an Instructor of Nursing in the 2016-2017 academic catalog, advanced to Assistant Professor of Nursing by the 2019-2020 catalog, and achieved promotion to Associate Professor, accompanied by tenure, as documented in subsequent catalogs including the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 editions.
