Khuyen (Quin) Tran is a Lecturer and Course Coordinator at Adelaide University’s College of Business and Law, affiliated with the School of Marketing and the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute of Marketing Science. She possesses over 30 years of combined industry experience in the financial services sector, academia, and public service, adopting a student-centric teaching style to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for business careers. Tran holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing, a Master of Marketing, and has completed postgraduate studies in Education focused on Digital Learning. In 2025, she graduated from the University of Adelaide’s Pathways to Politics for Women program, which strengthened her dedication to community leadership. She currently teaches courses including AERO 3016 Integrated Marketing, MARK 3012 Integrated Marketing, MARK 3022 UO Integrated Marketing, and MARK 1015 Professional Development in Marketing.
Tran's academic interests emphasize teaching and learning pedagogies for building high-performing teams and strong communities, alongside research into how consumer cultural renaissance supports multiculturalism programs and multicultural societies in Australia, for which she was awarded the Adelaide University Research Scholarship on 16 October 2025 under the supervision of Professor Richard Lee, Dr Song Yang, and Mrs Becky Houston. Her scholarly contributions include the conference paper 'We have a simulcast but why is the remote not stuck?' (Tran, K., Pocock, A., & Beal, V., 2009, ANZMAC Proceedings), co-authored works and a poster on team-based learning in a marketing simulation course, and presentations at the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy Conference (2016, 2022) and Higher Education Research Conference (2016, 2022). She has received numerous accolades for teaching excellence, including UniSA Business School Teaching and Learning Awards from 2013 to 2021, the Community and Language Schools Primary Teacher of the Year Award presented by the Minister for Education SA in 2018, and the 2024 National Community Language Schools Award presented by the Minister for Multicultural Affairs SA. Additionally, Tran serves as Councillor for the Woodville Ward in the City of Charles Sturt (elected November 2022), Board member of the South Australian Multicultural Commission (appointed July 2021), and the first female President of the Vietnamese Community in South Australia since 1978.
