Rate My Professor Kenny Chan

Chan's academic credentials include an Associate of Arts degree from Palm Beach State College, a Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master of Science in Teaching from Florida Atlantic University. These qualifications enable him to deliver core courses such as College Algebra (MAC 1105) and Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1033C). He schedules multiple sections of these classes across Spring 2026, Summer 2026, and Fall 2026 terms, all conducted at the Lake Worth campus, supporting students pursuing associate and transfer degrees.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Chan has played a key role in the Prep Math Cluster, an academic services committee addressing curriculum and instructional matters. Frequently serving as scribe, he documented proceedings for meetings spanning 2010 to 2016. Topics included updates to MAT1033C with contextualized offerings planned for Spring 2017, discrete mathematics courses for high school dual enrollment like Suncoast High, textbook editions for future adoption, PERT cutoff scores for combined courses, and format options for MAT 0022 such as 12- or 16-week schedules. He collaborated with faculty members including Alex Opritsa, Eileen Doran, Mauvlette Joseph, Ralston Brown, Reginald Butler, and Derrick Ruffin.
