Dr. Kelly Richmond-Moore, DSW, LCSW, PPSC (she/they), serves as Assistant Program Director and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Master of Social Work program at the University of the Pacific's School of Health Sciences, Sacramento campus. A licensed clinical social worker and Pupil Personnel Services Credential holder with over ten years of experience in behavioral health, Dr. Richmond-Moore's practice encompasses crisis response, school-based mental health, higher education, and social work education. Their clinical and educational expertise supports the development of MSW students into proficient clinicians, leaders, and advocates addressing diverse community needs in behavioral health settings.
Dr. Richmond-Moore holds a Doctorate of Social Work from Simmons University (2024), a Master of Social Work from Simmons University (2011), and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Davis (2008). Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker since 2011, they focus on higher education, school-based mental health, and behavioral health in their teaching and administrative duties. Dr. Richmond-Moore serves on the Council on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and has presented at CSWE Annual Program Meetings. They developed and deliver professional trainings, including 'Providing Affirming Clinical Supervision for LGBTQIA+ Clinicians,' to advance inclusive clinical practices.
In addition, Dr. Richmond-Moore collaborates on interprofessional initiatives, as highlighted in the University of the Pacific's June 2025 Research Update, partnering with Dr. Nurit Fischer and Dr. Kris Himmerick on a four-year project between the Social Work and Occupational Therapy programs. This work exemplifies their dedication to interdisciplinary approaches in health sciences education and service delivery.
