Kathryn A. Rook, VMD, DACVD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and earned her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Following veterinary school, Dr. Rook undertook a rotating internship at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. She then spent several years in specialty practice as a veterinary dermatologist in New York City before returning to Penn Vet as faculty. Board-certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology, she contributes to the Dermatology & Allergy service at Ryan Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Rook's clinical interests include canine cutaneous epitheliotropic T-cell lymphoma and the immunologic basis of dermatologic disease. Her research specializations focus on cutaneous lymphoma and the management of immune-mediated diseases. She has published key works in veterinary dermatology and related fields, including Rook, K.
