Bain's research specializes in multi-modal interventions to enhance motor capacity and goal attainment in children with moderate to severe cerebral palsy. In 2023, she co-authored 'Goal attainment of children with cerebral palsy participating in multi-modal intervention' in Child: Care, Health and Development, collaborating with researchers from Southern Cross University and the University of Sydney. The study employed individualized goal attainment scales for family-specified daily tasks, demonstrating significant post-intervention improvements in the treatment group compared to controls (p = 0.0321, large effect size).
