About Kastriot
Kastriot Zoto is an Associate Professor (Prof. asoc.) and Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Informatics, and Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Gjirokastra “Eqrem Çabej” in Gjirokastër, Albania. He leads the research-teaching group in Mathematical Analysis, Applied Mathematics, and Physics. Previously listed as a lecturer (Lektor) in departmental records, Zoto has progressed in his academic career at the institution. His research focuses on mathematical analysis and fixed point theory, particularly contractive mappings, generalized contractions, and fixed point theorems in b-metric-like spaces, dislocated metric spaces, quasi-metric spaces, and d-neighborhood systems. He has contributed to applications of these theorems in solving integral equations.
Zoto has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, with over 58 listed on ResearchGate and significant citation impact. Select key works include: "On some fixed point results for (s, p, α)-contractive mappings in b-metric-like spaces and applications to integral equations" (Open Mathematics, 2018, cited 39 times); "Some new results in dislocated and dislocated quasi-metric spaces" (Applied Mathematical Sciences, 2012, cited 39 times); "Some generalizations for α-contractions in b-metric-like spaces and an application" (Fixed Point Theory and Applications, 2017, cited 37 times); "d-Neighborhood system and generalized F-contraction in dislocated metric space" (SpringerPlus, 2015, cited 31 times); "Common fixed point theorems for a class of (s, q)-contractive mappings in b-metric-like spaces and applications to integral equations" (Mathematica Slovaca, 2019, cited 29 times); and "Bhaskar-Guo-Lakshmikantam-Ćirić type results via new functions with applications to integral equations" (Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2019, cited 21 times). His Google Scholar profile reflects an h-index of 13 and over 400 citations. Zoto serves on the Academic Senate and has participated in international conferences such as the International Conference Dimitrie Cantemir. He received the "Pilika" award for the highest quality mathematical paper and a nomination for the special "Pilika" prize. Additionally, he holds editorial roles in journals like Applied and Computational Mathematics.
