Rate My Professor Karen Stephenson

Karen Stephenson serves as the Career Support Officer and Administrator Client Services in the Student Services division at the University of Otago's Career Development Centre in Dunedin. In her role, she assists with general enquiries and appointment bookings for students and staff seeking career guidance. She also provides administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the centre's operations.

The Career Development Centre team, including Karen Stephenson, celebrated being voted New Zealand's best careers service two years in a row in 2018 and 2019 by the New Zealand Association for Graduate Employers. The centre excels in hosting employer recruitment events such as career expos, on-campus presentations, speed networking, and information evenings, as well as coordinating graduate and internship opportunities through the OtagoCareerHub portal. In 2024, Karen Stephenson received the University of Otago Appreciation Award for her contributions to inclusivity efforts, particularly in supporting students with disabilities. She is recognized as part of the Queer Friendly Staff Network.
