Dr. Kanwal Nasim is a Lecturer in the College of Business at Murdoch University, serving as Academic Chair for the Undergraduate Human Resources Management, Undergraduate Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Undergraduate Management programs. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy at Murdoch University in 2021, with a thesis entitled 'Total quality management in higher education: A theoretical model and empirical evidence from Pakistan.' Her research focuses on total quality management, particularly in higher education contexts, alongside human resource management, organizational performance, change management, and service quality. Nasim employs a primarily quantitative research approach and has contributed significantly to the literature on quality management practices.
Nasim's key publications include 'Twenty years of research on total quality management in higher education: A systematic literature review,' published in 2020 in Higher Education Quarterly, which has received over 150 citations. Other notable works are 'Role of internal and external organizational factors in TQM implementation: A systematic literature review and theoretical framework' (2018, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management), 'Linking relationship quality and resourcefulness to group performance' (2019, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management), 'Service quality perceptions and patients' satisfaction: A comparative case study of a public and a private sector hospital in Pakistan' (2014, Total Quality Management & Business Excellence), and 'Capability building and quality management in higher education: An empirical investigation' (2025). She holds an MS in General Management from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. As an educator, she coordinates major units in management disciplines and supervises doctoral students.
