About Kalyan Kumar
Kalyan Kumar Mallick is a distinguished academic at the University of Development Alternative (UODA) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he serves as Professor in the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, and Visiting Faculty Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering. He holds key administrative roles including Professor and Treasurer in the Office of the Registrar and Acting Vice Chancellor, as evidenced by his participation as chief guest in departmental seminars such as the event on Geostationary Satellites Communications and Telemetry organized by the Computer Science and Engineering department. Mallick's academic background includes an Honors degree in Mathematics, a Masters in Applied Mathematics from the University of Dhaka, and an MPhil in Mathematics specializing in Operations Research from Jahangirnagar University.
His scholarly contributions focus on operations research and algorithmic optimization, with notable publications including 'Modified EDMONDS-KARP Algorithm to Solve Maximum Flow Problems' published in 2016 in the Open Journal of Applied Sciences (cited 19 times), 'An Efficient Method for Solving Traveling Salesman Problem' in 2019 in the Jahangirnagar University Journal of Science (cited 2 times), and 'A Study On Fuzzy Travelling Salesman Problem Using Fuzzy Number' in 2023 in the IOSR Journal of Computer Engineering (cited 3 times). Recent works encompass 'Buck-Boost Converter as Controller for Power Factor Correction Plug-In Electric Vehicles and SOC Battery Charging Application' (2024, International Journal of Computer Applications), 'An Approach to Risk Analysis for Construction Project using Fuzzy Logic' (2024, International Journal of Computer Applications), and 'A New Approach to Solve the Classical Symmetric Traveling Salesman Problem by Highest Suffix Method' (2024, International Journal of Computer Applications). These publications, co-authored with colleagues from UODA and other institutions, demonstrate his expertise in network flows, combinatorial optimization, fuzzy logic applications in risk analysis and traveling salesman problems, and power electronics control systems. With approximately 30 citations across 16 publications documented on ResearchGate and Google Scholar, Mallick continues to advance applied mathematics in engineering contexts at UODA.
