Rate My Professor Kalpesh Maniya

Key publications include the highly cited 'A selection of material using a novel type decision-making method: Preference selection index method' (2010, Materials & Design, with M.G. Bhatt, 594 citations). Other significant works are 'An alternative multiple attribute decision making methodology for solving optimal facility layout design selection problems' (Computers & Industrial Engineering, K.D. Maniya, M.G. Bhatt), 'Experimental investigation of churning power loss of single start worm gear drive through optimization technique' (2020), and 'INVESTIGATION OF MAGNETIC ABRASIVE FINISHING PROCESS PARAMETERS OF SS316 MATERIAL USING TAGUCHI TECHNIQUE'. A 2022 publication in Tribomat (Volume 1, Issue 3) co-authored with Hardik Chothani addresses tribology aspects. The PSI method is referenced in recent studies such as the RMCDA library for multi-criteria analysis (2025) and personnel selection in cargo companies. These contributions demonstrate impact in material selection, facility layout, gear optimization, and abrasive finishing processes. Dr. Maniya has served as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, IQAC Coordinator, SC-ST Cell member, Grievance Redressal Cell member, and ex-Member Secretary of the Managing Committee. He is a recognized Ph.D. supervisor by Gujarat Technological University.
