Rate My Professor K. Suresh

Dr. K. Suresh serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College (NMREC), located in Divyanagar, Kachivani Singaram, Ghatkesar, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. In this leadership role, he oversees academic programs, research activities, and faculty development within the department. He chairs the Board of Studies for Civil Engineering, participates in the College Academic Council, and is a member of the Grievance Redressal Committee, supporting institutional governance and addressing student and faculty issues.

Dr. Suresh's research focuses on geotechnical engineering, emphasizing sustainable soil stabilization techniques using waste materials. A prominent publication is his work titled “Optimization of cement, rice husk ash, and waste plastic additives for stabilizing expansive subgrade soil: a study on UCS, CBR, and durability.” He has co-authored papers including one in the Indian Geotechnical Society with V. Padmavathi and A. Sultana, another in the Journal of Engineering Education Transformations with S. Veluri, P.S. Harsha, and M. Raju, and a contribution to the IOSR Journal of Environmental Science, Engineering with M. Venkateswarlu and G. Ashok. As a project guide, he supervises student research such as an experimental study on concrete incorporating plastic and coconut shell ash as aggregate replacements. Dr. Suresh has delivered guest lectures, including at KL Deemed to be University on October 30, 2024, served as a committee member for WASET conferences, and contributed to the core committee for the Smart India Hackathon Finale 2023 at NMREC. He also engages in faculty development initiatives at the college.
