Julie Samson is the Evaluations Assistant in the Evaluation team at the Higher Education Development Centre (HEDC) at the University of Otago. Working part-time, she assists with the design and processing of student feedback questionnaires, playing a key role in collecting and managing data on teaching quality and course evaluations across the university. This work supports the Academic Division's quality assurance processes, including topic reviews, programme reviews, and college reviews. She is also known as the Questionnaires Assistant within the University Quality Advancement Unit (UQAU), where she serves as a primary contact for evaluation-related inquiries. In addition to her operational role, Julie Samson has engaged in scholarly activities within the field of higher education evaluation. She co-presented a verbal presentation titled 'Informing evaluation: Evaluating InForm' at the Australasian Higher Education Evaluation Forum (AHEEF) in Launceston, Tasmania, in October 2013, collaborating with Adon C.M. Moskal, Sarah Stein, Jo Kennedy, and Allen Goodchild from the Higher Education Development Centre. Her involvement is further evidenced in acknowledgements within peer-reviewed publications, such as a 2016 study on increasing teacher engagement with evaluation processes published in Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education.
