In 2017, as Donor and Funding Manager, Jude commented on the success of the annual appeal under the 'Shaping the Future Together' theme, noting that gifts of all sizes resonated with the university community. In June 2025, Jude stated, “Giving back to the University and providing support and opportunities for current students that make a real difference to their academic journey is so rewarding. We are very grateful for the support we receive from Alumni and Friends. Their support continues to strengthen the global Otago community, fostering a network that supports both alumni and the University's mission.” Jude also provided photo credits for profiles in Otago Magazine and represented the Development and Alumni Office in university events.
