Joseph DeSota is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music and Theatre, College of Arts and Sciences, at Washburn University. His area of specialty is Applied Voice and Opera. Dr. DeSota earned a Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University, a Master of Music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In addition to his teaching role, he serves as Vocal Division Coordinator, faculty advisor, and Director of the Washburn Opera Studio.
