Jivianne T. Lee, MD, is a Professor of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1998, graduating with distinction and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship in general surgery and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania from 2004 to 2005.

Dr. Lee specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques for sinonasal and skull base disease. Her research focuses on the pathomechanisms and novel treatments for chronic rhinosinusitis, including the roles of innate immunity, the sinonasal microbiome, and environmental pollutant exposures, as well as technologic innovations in office-based procedures and drug-eluting biomaterials. She has authored over 145 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and has delivered more than 500 lectures, panels, and presentations nationally and internationally. Dr. Lee holds leadership positions including Vice-President of the American Rhinologic Society, service on editorial boards for journals such as Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology, and has received awards including the American Rhinologic Society Distinguished Leadership Award in 2024, the AAO-HNSF Distinguished Service Award in 2023, and multiple other honors for service and contributions to rhinology.
