Dr. Jitesh Pradhan serves as an Assistant Professor (Grade-II) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, a position he has held since 2022. He obtained his B.E. degree in 2012 from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, followed by an M.Tech. in 2015 and a Ph.D. in 2021, both from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. With over nine years of research experience in image processing and artificial intelligence, his academic interests encompass medical image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, DNA computing, feature engineering, video analytics, and content-based image retrieval. Dr. Pradhan has contributed significantly to these fields through 50 publications, including 25 journal articles, three book chapters, 20 conference proceedings, and two reviews. In addition to his research and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Pradhan holds several administrative roles at NIT Jamshedpur, including Associate Dean (Academic), Warden of Hostel-K, and Coordinator for Samarth/MIS. He has been involved in organizing faculty development programs, short-term courses, and conferences such as the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Advancements and Analytic Computing Technologies (ETAACT-2026) and various workshops on machine learning and data science.
