Dr. Ng Jia Hui is a Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy at Monash University Malaysia, having joined the faculty in 2023. She earned her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Monash University Malaysia on 10 July 2023 and her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) with a major in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics from the University of Queensland on 12 December 2018. Dr. Ng Jia Hui's research specializations are microwave-assisted synthesis, medicinal and organic chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, and NMR spectroscopy. Her primary academic focus lies in developing practical methods for the synthesis of purine-like heterocyclic compounds through microwave-assisted multicomponent reactions. This work supports key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Among her accolades are the Fellow of the Higher Education Academy awarded on 1 March 2026, the TienTe Lee Biomedical Foundation Excellent Scientific Paper Award in 2023, the Excellent Publication Award from the School of Pharmacy in 2022, and another Excellent Publication Award from the School of Pharmacy in 2023.
