Associate Professor Jerome Laurence is an academic surgeon in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney, holding the position of Associate Professor of Academic Surgery in the Central Clinical School and serving as a Level 3 Supervisor. He practices as a transplant and upper gastrointestinal surgeon at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead Hospital, specializing in liver, pancreas, biliary, and complex upper gastrointestinal surgery, including minimally invasive approaches in multidisciplinary teams to improve care for patients with complex surgical needs. Laurence completed his MBChB, internship, and junior surgical training in the United Kingdom. As a Northcote Scholar, he pursued a PhD in transplantation immunology at the University of Sydney.
