Jason Bryant is a Lecturer in the School of Allied Health and Human Performance, College of Health, at Adelaide University. He is involved in teaching key courses such as PSIO-4002 Musculoskeletal Evaluation and Exercise Rehabilitation, which prepares students to deliver clinical exercise services in the area of musculoskeletal evaluation and rehabilitation as required for work-integrated learning placements. Another course he contributes to is HUMV-3006 UO Adapted Physical Activity, Exercise and Sport. His academic role is based at the Adelaide City Campus East.
Prior to the formation of Adelaide University from the merger of the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia, Jason Bryant was affiliated with UniSA's Allied Health & Human Performance. He serves as the Program Lead for the UniSA Invictus Pathways Program (IPP), also known as WAVES (Wellbeing for Australian Veterans & Emergency Services), a world-first student-led program designed to support the physical and mental wellbeing of current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force personnel, veterans, and emergency services workers through adaptive sport, exercise physiology, and rehabilitation services. The program has been highlighted in Australian parliamentary inquiries on adaptive sport programs for Defence Force veterans, where Jason Bryant provided testimony as Program Lead. He also supports Australian and South Australian adaptive sport teams, including involvement with Invictus Games preparation and wheelchair sports classification as an advisor and physiotherapist. Jason Bryant is recognized as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and physiotherapist with extensive experience in clinical, occupational, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
