Rate My Professor Jasmine Buckner

Buckner has demonstrated strong community engagement through participation in Illinois State University's #RedbirdImpact Day of Service in June 2022, volunteering at the Midwest Food Bank with her family to pack food for local K-12 students. She has also played a significant role in university communications, authoring numerous news articles for Illinois State University News. Her articles cover a wide range of topics, including Politics and Government department events such as the 28th Annual Conference for Students of Political Science (2021), faculty presentations at the American Political Science Association Virtual Conference (2020), pre-law students' attendance at the Law School Forum in Chicago (2021), student and faculty award announcements (2021), alumni career pointers, and mock trial team achievements. Additionally, she served as managing editor for the College of Applied Science and Technology Politics and Government Newsletter in 2020. In August 2023, she was recognized in the Tip of the Hat for her contributions to the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Buckner's dedicated service supports the academic community at Illinois State University.
