About Jan

Associate Professor Jan Vaile holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor in the Central Clinical School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. She is also a Consultant Rheumatologist and Senior Staff Specialist in the Department of Rheumatology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) in Sydney. RPAH Rheumatology is recognized as one of the largest sites for advanced training in rheumatology in Australia and collaborates with the University of Sydney through the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, a partnership focused on musculoskeletal conditions. Vaile's professional roles encompass clinical care, teaching, and contributions to rheumatology training programs, including supervision at RPAH as part of the New South Wales advanced training network affiliated with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Vaile earned her Bachelor of Medicine with Honours (BMed Hons), Master of Medical Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MMedSci Clin Epi), and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
